Drone Building Workshop
Drones have now appeared in almost every aspect of our daily lives, which is why it is important to develop the skills to operate them, and these skills need to be cultivated from an early age.
The drone-making workshop provides essential knowledge on how to operate, handle, and gain experience in flying a drone. In the workshop, participants will physically build models of the drone motor's magnetic field, and each participant will get hands-on experience with three different experiments.
The workshop develops attention, spatial thinking, coordination, and technical aptitude, and offers the opportunity to learn through practical activities.
The one-day drone-making cycle lasts 5 hours. The maximum number of participants per day is 25. It is also important to note that there is an age restriction for flying drones, which is 16 years old. However, this age restriction does not apply to participation in the drone-making workshop.
The project is led by Kenari Koonik, who was born and raised in Valga. See also https://kenarikoonik.weebly.com/, he works as specialist in educational and marketing activities at Taltech. He is also member of Taltech mechatronics and autonomous systems research group.
The participation fee is 25 euros.
