In Valga Museum gallery, an exhibition reflecting on the half-century of the kolkhoz era and rural life is open until the end of August.

At Valga Museum, visitors can enjoy an exhibition dedicated to short-story writer and novelist August Gailit, who was born at Kuiksilla near Sangaste, Valga County. Additionally, the second hall of the gallery features displays about four other writers connected to the County.

On the second floor of the permanent exhibition at Valga Museum, a booth introducing the story of Valga Wine Factory was opened on January 15.

An exhibition dedicated to the 75th anniversary from opening of the current Valga railway station is displayed in the waiting hall of the railway station frpm December 6, 2024. The historic Valga Station was destroyed during World War II.

On July 16, 2025, starting at 4 PM, a dairy-themed event will take place at Valga Museum, led by Mai Kukk, researcher from the Estonian Dairy Museum.

On July 23, 2025, at 16:00, Professor Toivo Univer, fruit growing researcher at the Polli Horticultural Centre of the Estonian University of Life Sciences, will give a presentation at the Valga Museum.
Several people from Valga County have made significant contributions to the development of Estonian horticulture. Among them is Gustav Tikerpuu (1868–1946), who worked for a long time in the city of Valga and bred several fruit varieties that are still in use today. Later, Aleksander Kurvits (1885–1970), who was from Tagula, became well-known. The presentation will also touch upon the former Tõrva Horticultural State Farm.
