Lecture Mushrooms in Folklore

MUSHROOMS IN FOLKLORE

Estonians consider themselves a forest people, yet they rarely venture into the woods. Even the mushrooms growing in the forest are relatively little known. When someone is sent to pick mushrooms, it often means something quite different. The presentation will discuss Estonians' attitudes towards mushrooms and mushroom-related beliefs both here and elsewhere.

Lecturer: Aivar Jürgenson.

Participation is free.
