Accessibility

Welcome!

Physical accessibility

Designed in Art Nouveau style, Valga Museum is located at Vabaduse 8, Valga. The main entrance with two columns and a large sign VALGA MUUSEUM is on Vabaduse Street. The second entrance is at the back of the museum building, accessible from the car park, with a large sign VALGA MUUSEUM above the door.

Visitor with special needs

The museum is accessible by wheelchair from both entrances, and movement within the building is largely possible. A lift connects the ground.first and second floors. Entering the first-floor former bank room by wheelchair is inconvenient due to the historic high thresholds of the bank doors. The exhibitions located between the ground and first floors and between the first and second floors can only be viewed from a short distance from the stair landings by visitors using a wheelchair.

An audio guide is available for free in five languages (Estonian, English, Latvian, Finnish, Russian). Please request the audio guide from the customer service staff.

Guide dogs and small pets are allowed into the museum, but please arrange this in advance.
