Workshop From Wool to Yarn
VALGA COUNTY LOCAL CULTURE EVENTS FOR YOUTH
From Wool to Yarn workshop introduces sheep's wool in the form it comes after shearing. The stages of wool processing are demonstrated – picking, carding, spinning (with a spindle and spinning wheel). Participants have the opportunity to try all the work processes themselves. Each participant can make a braided band using ancestral techniques. The workshop is conducted by Olivia Till, who has been working with different types of wool and conducting trainings since 2005.
